But if you don’t give your body the resources and time it needs to recover, you’re not just missing out on gains—you’re risking serious setbacks.
During the podcast, Rad and I talked about his recent blood tests, which showed that even though he is doing most things right—like exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy diet—there were still areas where he needed to improve, particularly in recovery.
For instance, his blood glucose levels were higher than expected, despite efforts to eat clean and train hard. This was a wake-up call that, no matter how disciplined we are, our bodies need balance. But not everyone gets enough deep sleep, and that’s where the problems start.

Poor sleep quality doesn’t just leave you feeling tired—it can tank your testosterone levels, elevate your stress hormones, and hinder your recovery efforts.
That’s why optimizing your sleep should be a top priority if you’re serious about building muscle and maintaining your health.
On that note, one of the most eye-opening moments from Rad’s recent blood tests was seeing how his testosterone levels were doing. Without the use of any PEDs or steroids, his total testosterone was higher than average and very healthy!
This is uncommon at Rad’s age, but it’s proof that it's something that can be managed with proper recovery strategies, including good sleep, nutrition, and supplementation.
