There's a new formula that can help you achieve strength and flexibility in the same workout, without spending a crazy amount of time in the gym.
The old formula for building strength and flexibility involved going to the gym for strength training and attending yoga classes for flexibility. This meant more workouts and less time for everything else, leading to burnout and giving up. The new formula, on the other hand, involves developing both strength and flexibility in an insanely efficient way.
In the UMS, we have a formula that develops both strength and flexibility simultaneously. This allows you to get your workouts done in just 40-60 minutes. Our approach involves using active recovery to work on flexibility during the rest period between strength training.
To avoid negatively impacting strength development and increasing the risk of injury, we stretch the upper body while strengthening the lower body and vice versa.
For example, instead of resting 3-5 minutes after a set of deadlifts, you can do some thoracic extension on a foam roller while recovering. This works on upper body flexibility while you're resting from your lower body strength training. During your bench press and bent over row workout, you can do some hamstring and hip flexor stretching in between sets. You can get all of this done in a 5-minute round, which means that in 25 minutes, you can get 5 rounds done, enough to see real strength and flexibility improvements.
When you balance strength and flexibility, you will see a significant reduction in back pain.
With UMS you'll get better results in far less time than it would usually take, so you can enjoy your best years!
